Camioneros de Coslada kicks off 2026 at the Madrid Logistics Agency
The Madrid team kicked off the new season in Coslada.
On January 16, the Club Camioneros de Coslada officially presented its 2026 season at an event held at the Logistics Agency of the Community of Madrid, in Coslada. This symbolic venue reinforces the club’s close connection with the “City of Trucks, Transport and Logistics,” one of the main logistics hubs in southern Europe and an economic engine contributing more than 11% of the regional GDP.
The event was attended by authorities such as José María García Gómez, Deputy Minister of Housing, Transport and Infrastructure; Eduardo San Román, Manager of the Logistics Agency; Ángel Viveros, Mayor of Coslada; and council members including Fernando Romero and Luis Arteaga.
Representatives from the Spanish and Madrid American Football Federations, Madrid Bravos and Miami Dolphins also participated, along with sponsors such as CRANE Worldwide Logistics (new main sponsor), Revista Truck, Diario del Puerto, McDonald’s Coslada Plaza and other local collaborators.
Led by Pablo Carabias, Director of Marketing and Sponsorships, the event reviewed the club’s history from its founding in the 1990s (initially as Madrid Dolphins) to its full identification with Coslada since 1992.
The growth in tackle and flag football was highlighted, spanning from youth to senior categories (including female and veterans), in a context where American football is gaining momentum in Spain thanks to NFL events and the inclusion of flag football in the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
The institutional sponsorship of the Logistics Agency and the principal sponsorship of CRANE Worldwide Logisticswas announced — a global logistics giant that, through Blue Cargo, a company with over 30 years in Coslada, enters the Spanish market. The company is deeply connected to sports through its owner, Jim Crane, owner of the Houston Astros.
On stage, Azael Asensi (head coach) introduced a roster he described as “young, talented and the best in national history,” with words of excitement and commitment from captain Pablo Saló. The deputy minister closed by emphasizing the perfect union between sport and logistics that Camioneros represents.
The event concluded with an official photo, jersey presentations and a festive moment: the deputy minister threw a pass caught by young flag football prospect Carolina González, followed by a unanimous shout of “One, two, three, Camioneros!” with everyone united around the ball — an exciting start for a club with more than 30 years of history that proudly carries the name of Coslada across Spain in the fields of trucking, transport and logistics.
